Emperor Peeter 1. (real name Peeter Todoruk, born in 24 Aug. 1993 in Estonia, Viljandi) is Estonian singer, pianist, multi-genre composer and DJ. His music career starts with singing when he was 9 years old. In 2004 he created his first piano work “Langevari”, later “Love of Treasury (2007)”, “In memories (2008)”, and so on. Peter started as DJ and multi-genre artist in 2008 when he starts using FL Studio, Renoise, REAPER, LMMS, Virtual DJ and FamiTrack.
Peter music variety is huge – ranging into 100+ genres. Main part his creation is in EDM (Electronic Dance Music), TRICATRZ (and TRICTARZ-kind), Electronic, Instrumental (Instrumental (various), Ballad, Prelude, Impressionism and so on…), Futronic (XHouse, XElectronica, Glitchtronica, Futronica, Realistic Futronic and so on…) kind and Ambient music kind.
For Peter, Daft Punk has always been an inspiration source and favorite artist since 2003 with she (Lain Trzaska), Enya, A-ha, Arvo Pärt, and so on. When Peeter was 5 years old, he heard an “A-ha – Take on me” song. After that he was always tried to create a song like this kind, when he was younger. In further creation, A-ha music influences gives into his music this melodic music and vocal. When he was 7 years old, he saw in TV an “Interstella 5555” movie, where was Daft Punk music playing background. Daft Punk was main influence for Peter to create French Dance music kind songs or similar. When he started to compose music, then his inventions and discoveries gives him influence to give this futuristic and his own kind mystical, strangeness, special harmony and melody into his creations. When Peter started to learn a piano playing and solfeggio lessons, when he was 13 years old, he get experiences all about a classical piano music. Through these lesson he get an enough experiences to use in his music, where is used a various triad- and four chords and total new kind intervals, arpeggios. In music class he listened and studied a closely about Arvo Pärt creations, where he get inspiration and ideas for his TRICATRZ (an advanced massive arpeggios playing genre with a tic-tac background playing sound) (pronounce “tricarts”) genre tracks and improved this genre into many different music styles. Arvo Pärt creations also gave inspirations for Peeter to create a mystical and 20th century modern music kind tracks and songs. In January 2010, he heard a first time a She (Shemusic) (Lain Trzaska) song “Atomic” and this artist another creations, Peeter got inspiration to create and import 8-Bit music into his creations. He has also included 8-Bit sounds in his some Electronica and Techno songs. From She creations, Peter also get inspired to create and experience more with heavy and futuristic electronic sounds. In summer 2011 he get interest more and more about Japan Electronica and Electro-Pop artists creations, until he found in September 2011 Capsule and Perfume artists and their creation. Capsule(mostly) and Perfume gives to Peeter inspiration to create Electronic songs more and Electro-Pop(Electronic Pop) and Pop songs (influences by Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and so on… ). Especially Capsule old creations and nowadays creations gives Japanese electronic music kind songs influences into Emperor Peeter 1. creations. Also K-Pop has left mark in Peter creation. Monster, echo vocals, and deep bass influence is based from mainly Dubstep (mainly from Skrillex) and and Electro/Electronica genres songs (Justice, Benassi Bros, Daft Punk, Kill Paris, Uppermost, and so on…).
