An Experimental song by Epica, Which contains eastern tones, clean vocal, Unclean vocals, Gothic riffs and Issac's higher frequency solo's. Every instrument and talent can be seen in this song from Choral to Robs Bass! That's way Mark says this Album was the best Co-operation way of the band and this track represents it nicely and hit the charts. It can be called the top Symphonic-Metal song of 2014
The Verse is structured the old Epica way of Simone's voice and Marks Grunts
Essence of Silence was the second song written for the album, it was originally an more melodic and old thing than an experimental one, With some changing's in the song it became even better than what Epica expected, they never though this will be their top single which was heard more than 400,000 times on Spotify.
Essence of Silence was a main song on Epica's quantum Enigma's tour which warms up the crowd with the extreme heaviness
