Oh, and don't call us fucktards. Name calling is childish and strangely enough, more American than ever.

@OpiumWalrus It totally is a tribute to Monk. Listen to the chords Dolphy chose--very Monk-esque. Plus, his attention to time in this through the choruses and the soloing, is ala-Thelonious. If you have a different interpretation, by all means DO share it, please. I know I would like to hear it. But don't be ignorant of the history of this song. Check out Richard Cook's Penguin Guide to Jazz or his Blue Note Records book for some fact-checking. It's in them.

I will, one day, understand Free Jazz. I find it interesting, but still I cannot say I do understand it.
