Biography
Erik Rutan was born in 1971 and grew up in New Jersey. He was the guitarist for Morbid Angel during the 'Domination' era (circa 1996). After leaving Morbid Angel, Erik formed Hate Eternal, a seminal Death Metal band, in 1997. The band continues to enjoy relatively (in Death Metal cirles) tremendous acclaim.
Erik also formed Mana Studios in Tampa, FL. The studio has become synonymous with some of the best Metal albums in recent years. Artists who've recorded there include Cannibal Corpse, Goatwhore, Vital Remains, The Absence, and this summer (June 2009), Nile will record there as well.
