Удивительно, как некоторые песни не нравятся совершенно, а некоторые -- цепляют до глубины души, хотя отличаются не так сильно: вокал тот же, инструментал -- тоже. Магия.

Revisited WTSNOTF for the first time in years and I've just remembered why they've been one of my favourite bands for so long. <3

I feel like they sound a bit too 'heavy' on their newest album whereas I prefer when are moody and dark but still somehow dreamy and ethereal. Anyway, still obsessed with them. I hope they will continue creating great music <3

Personally, I've loved their slow evolution into full-fledged doom band. But it does make it seem retrospectively weird that they were once pegged as peers of Gazelle Twin and The xx.

Violent Cries and early eps are really unusual and worth listening despite lack of production, second one I would say is their best, still creative but more mature. I remember, I was very hyped for the third and when it came out I felt a bit disappointed. It was good and atmospheric, but stylish psychodelic riffs and stuff were replaced by post rock. Still they managed to create unique material. But the last album is completely hopeless, seems like a poor attempt to make post-metal or smh.

I tend to agree with you in a way. I think Wash the Sins... is by far their best effort and I also think that New Nature and Older Terrors clearly fall off in comparison, but I still think that Older Terrors is a pretty good album in a vacuum, or, at least one I personally enjoy a lot. It's super different from their early material in many ways, but I like it.

Can't believe I have been missing out all this time! These guys have potential to grow into one of my favorite bands of all time. Their sound is so epic and massive. I have to see them live now!

I only knew Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Runde before, now I'm in love with Esben. Any other recommendations in that "genre"?

Although I miss their Violet Cries era, their music is keep evolving into something else with each record. Her voice is becoming bigger and bigger, this time I feel it was the truly essence of the album.

The Split EP with Thought Forms is incredible, too bad Last.fm cannot tag it properly to reflect the bands scrobbles.

The Lexington gig blew me away -- they're fantastic live! I fucking lost it when they played The Fall from Glorieta Mountain, one of my absolute favourite songs. Here's hoping they'll play Bergen soon because I need more.

Only heard the new album, but I love it. Tinges of like Swans/Isis style post-rock, but also PJ Harvey/My Brightest Diamond in the vocals. Really moody and yummy
