Escapado are a post-hardcore/indie band from Flensburg, Germany, founded in 2003. Ranging from typical fierce screamo loudyness and harsh vocals to calm and well written post-hardcore structures with clean vocals and well layered melodies, these 4 young men released their first EP in 2003. The songs overall do not follow the traditional verse-chorus scheme but are far more complicated which is why they are sometimes compared to at the drive-in.Lyrics deal mostly with everday life, relationships and love although Escapado claim to be a band with a left-wingish approach.
2005 marked the release of the first full-length album "Hinter den Spiegeln" which received overall positive receptions, followed by sheer endless touring.
2007 "Initiale" was released on Grand Hotel van Cleef features a slightly more pop-oriented approach to songs, which is not to be missunderstood with the fact Escapado have started writing pop-songs.
In 2009 Helge (shouter) and Gunnar (bass) left the band. Months after searching for replacement Felix and Johannes joins the Band. On 22nd october 2010 their third full-lenght album "Montgomery Mundtot" was released on "Grand Hotel van Cleef".
