Biography

Espion set up live electronic music events in Glasgow and Edinburgh from 2000, plus held residencies in many other clubs such as Super Scientists, Pogo Vogue, Camouflage and the illustrious techno night, Dogma in Edinburgh's Studio 24. In 2002 he launched Hyperoctave.org to promote the scene.

Signed to Orson Records in 2004, he soon released his debut ep "Battlestations", an electro/techno crossover with dark and aggressive beats. Later, in 2005, saw remixes released on Tyrant, Electrix, Exceptional and Soma Records.

After running Camouflage and the straightforwardly titled 'Breakcore Extravaganza' in Glasgow until 2008, Espion moved to Berlin to continue his career as a producer and promoter.

By this time, Espion released Scalex on Serotonin Records, Vitbio Exito on Reldz Recordings, Apophis on Deadlock Records and Petrol Bomb the Fuckers on Bass4Bots, while also releasing remixes for artists such as C System, Vakama, Equitant and Jon Virtue amongst others.
