Biography
the SOUND:
"Factory Minds" is a Punk quartet with heavy R&B influences, founded in February 2008 in San Jose, California. Their sound is a mix of soulful political punk ala Clash fused with post-punk rhythmic experimentation. Factory Minds aims to write modern music based on classic influences without without succumbing to romanticism of the past and mall-punk clichés of the present. This music represents our generation, our struggles, and our state of mind. Lyrically, Factory Minds writes about political issues of post-9/11 America, personal philosophy, and takes a swing at sarcastic pop.
the HISTORY:
In early 2008, Noah Motion (bass/vox) and Brando Kommando (guitar/vox) were looking for a new project after the slowdown of their previous group "the Last Chordz." Rob WVWIII (Guitar/vox), recently arriving from a year long stay in Germany, was looking to start a new music project in the San Francisco Bay Area. By luck or coincidence, he met up with Brando and Noah at the perfect time in the perfect place (one of San Jose's many fine dive bars). Surge LeForce (drums), a co-member and founder (along with Rob) of local HC/Punk act "Call to Arms" was soon added to the outfit - thus solidifying the band.
