Hazel was the first debut EP from the emo Swedish band Far Apart. Releasing in 1997 under the Carcrash label and later under Crank! in 1998; which notably has signed midwest emo artists like Mineral under their wing, Hazel is remembered for it's brilliant emotional & passionate lyricism, the noisy and lo-fi instrumentation between guitar riffs and drums, and for Mats Ömalm's and Kalle Nyman's vocals that closely captured the sound of Ian MacKaye from Fugazi and this can be applied to Far Apart as a whole during their short four year run as a band. But Hazel is mostly well known for being underground or called an; "unknown classic" among some people.
Hazel's original album cover would be blue under the release of Carcrash. But under the Crank! label, it has a different color that's red instead of blue.
