Don't think she'll ever reach the heights of the best of The Knife sans bb bro (even with his offerings as a contributor) but this is a solid record. That 3 piece chicken dinner of New Utensils-Kandy-Even It Out in the first half is a truly yummy snack ("a truly yummy snack", really? cringe). The closer is totally banal and trite, however.

On first listen, this new album left me unimpressed. I guess this was to be expected, as I had a huge obsession for Plunge. But I'll listen to it more times, before totally dismissing it.

yoo I think this album's biggest strength is that each section of each song tends to build into hooky-er sections, bridges, breakdowns, etc in a way that's arresting all the way through.

The album cover and track titles are giving me major CocoRosie vibes. Great music on first listen though! Loving their musical direction here more than Plunge (maybe I should give that album another chance though).

Every song on this album has so much life. I’m obsessed. They are delivering slay after slay with each album.
