Biography
Tom Filardo is an experimental-pop musician and producer based in Los Angeles, California. His use of synthesizers, cavalier drum quality, unorthodoxly distorted guitars, and bizarrely personal songs earn him a reputation as a distinct and adventurous song-smith.
Whether earnestly or tongue-in-cheek, Filardo pursues a wild array of musical approaches. From the wintry dada of "Dog Wearing Glasses" to the taxingly upbeat "I Don't Getcha' Kid", Filardo is comfortable in a variety of sonic realms and glues his work together with truth-seeking, intuitive lyrical strength. Sometimes bold, other times introspective, Filardo's music runs the gamut over two full-length albums (Enter The Edit Suite, Falling Up) and one E.P. (Slow).
His other musical projects (Bouquet, Key Losers, Asleep In The Sea, Total Noise, The New Moderns) have been released on labels such as P.W. ELVERUM & SUN (Anacortes, WA), and Holy Page (Tempe, AZ). He is originally from rural Texas and has lived all over the gol' darn world.
