The Raw & The Cooked is such a great album from start to finish. Too bad they don’t get the recognition they deserve

That's the curse of making a bit hit. Many great artists have been affected by it.

That drum sound in She Drives Me Crazy was probably the first thing that ever annoyed me in any piece of music in my early childhood. I feel like the time is ripe now to give them another chance; should be statute-barred by now.

I also remember 'Don't Look Back' and "I'm Not the Man I Used to Be' receiving tons of MTV airplay... I mean, the videos. Even, 'I'm Not Satisfied' made the rounds back in the days. The Fine Young Cannibals are most definitely not a One Hit Wonder band."

@promisedeyes - The Fine Young Cannibals aren't "one-hit wonders." They had TWO Number One U.S. Billboard Hits in 1989 with "She Drives Me Crazy" [April 15, 1989 (1 week)] and "Good Thing [July 18, 1989 (1 week)." Whoever tags or considers FYC that have their info wrong. Plus, I remember seeing both of the videos for these singles getting constant, daily rotation on American MTV from 1989-1991 (yep, I'm that old).

So unfairly maligned as a one hit wonder, especially with great tunes such as "Good Thing" and "Ever Fallen In Love?"

The Fine Young Cannibals rose from the ashes of the English Beat and auditioned huge numbers of singers before finding Gift.In my opinion This sharp post-New Wave outfit crafted some of the classiest and hardiest pop of the '80s.
