Neil Young is wearing one of their shirts on one of the pictures inside the booklet for "Freedom", haha!

They were on an episode of Beer and Board Games last year. It blew my mind to see them there of all places, after so long.

Now that's what I call original. Easily one of the best and most curious bands I ever came across.

Fishbone changed my life again this past December Sat. in Chicago! I'm a superfan since 87 and they are as explosive as ever, stagediving from the 1st song on, as skilled as ever...fun new spaced out surprise intros to some songs, Norwood, Angelo, Dirty Walt Kibby and crew(wicked drummer, guitar, horns, theremin, etc) tore the roof off the Bottom Lounge. Met fans after show by merch table, so great! Come funk us up again soon...gonna go see the new Documentary Everyday Sunshine this week

It's not like it actually matters how you found out about a band. It's no shame to find an artist through a media scandal or controversy. I found Fishbone through John Cusack I think. The only thing that actually matters is if you like the music or not.

v Introduced me to this band because of it. Don't even watch his show, but the controversy got me interested

I just saw the documentary Everyday Sunshine and participated in a Q&A session with one of the co-directors after the screening. The doc was amazing. It was extremely insightful. Prior to seeing it, a vinyl copy of their first EP for Columbia was the only release I had of there. I wIll be exploring their catalog in the coming week. And hope to catch them live when they hit the East Coast again!
