This album reminds me a bit of Vespertine... introspective yet sensual, dark yet warm (definitely meant to be played at night)... constantly shifting microbeats and whatnot. Could grow to become my favorite of his with more spins

One of those albums that demands you listen from front to back. Really the only songs I consider *occasionally* skippable are "Sultan's Request" and "The Nightcaller"...but those tracks are still fire. Also, if you haven't had the pleasure of listening to this one on vinyl, I can't recommend that enough. Best album of 2012 for me.

It's cool to see that other people are digging the Putty Boy - The Nightcaller segment of this album too. Definitely AOTY

I understood this album on a sleepless night under heavy insomnia and muscle relaxant...

This one definitely takes several listens to truly sink in but when it does, man, does it sink in. The mid-album, five song stretch from Putty Boy Strut to The Nightcaller is beyond words to me.
