"Songs To Forget" (2008) is the independently released debut EP of solo act Fourteen Twentysix.

All songs written and recorded by Chris van der Linden, except for some additional guitar tracks by Jelle Goossens and bass guitar by Martijn Jorissen.

The debut EP "Songs to Forget" (2008) paints a dark, moving landscape of melancholy and hope, which has received much applause from fans of the genre. Slow and haunting electronic beats carry the elaboraty layered songs to often climactic endings. The music has been described as a very dark Depeche Mode mixed with elements of Pink Floyd.

The EP was recorded by the artist at home using a minimalistic set of equipment, some would classify as being lo-fi. Anything needed to get the job done was used so its not surprising that You Sleep Under The Trees features a shaker made out of a pack of rice.

Fourteen Twentysix is the cryptic alias of musician Chris van der Linden. Started in 2006 as a solo project, it has since grown into a mature sonic statement, including a four-pieced live band.
