Biography
There are at least four bands with the name "Funerals".
The first is FUNERALS, an electronic duo from Columbus, Ohio, with Casey Immel-Brown and Mollie Wells. In April 2011, they released the MARAE EP on San Francisco's Tundra Dubs label. In October 2011, they released MARAE: REMIXES, which also featured a new single, "To The End".

The second: Funerals udsprang af den danske punkbølge i 1982-83. Dannet som sideprojekt til forskellige new wave bands i Århus og Grenå, bl.a. More Sad Clowns og Corps Diplomatique (Hetz). Havde sin livedebut lokalt, men brød, med sin kontante og stramt spillede hardcore rock, så småt igennem med sin første optræden på Monody Fesivalen i Århus, i 1983. Udviklede sig efterhånden til et populært liveorkester med stort anlagte koncertshows, på de århusianske scener midt i 80'erne. Så populære, at Sort Sol faktisk opvarmede for dem, til en koncert i Huset (Århus) den 12. september 1985. Første udgivelse var livepladen "Elsker Livet" som udkom i november 1986, med et budget på små 100.000 kroner. Senere fulgte single, ep'er og endeligt et helt studiealbum med titlen "Commercial Outlet" i 1994. Bandet holdte begravelse af af orkesteret i efteråret 1996.

There is also a hardcore band from Oregon: Funerals is a new Southwest Oregon based band who formed in October of 2013. Funerals play a bleak, dark, metallic, and intense style of music that borrows influence from several subgenres of music including hardcore, punk, crust, and sludge. Human Ruin is the band's debut three song EP, which was self-released by the band on October 31st, 2013. On their debut three song offering, Funerals offer up three songs of dark, blackened, and metallic hardcore, punk, crust, and sludge.
