"Mago" (stylized in all caps) is a song recorded by South Korean girl group GFriend for their third Korean-language studio album 回:Walpurgis Night. The song was released as the title track of the album on November 9, 2020 by Source Music. It is the group’s final release before their departure from Source Music.
MAGO stands for a Korean deity and the Spanish word for wizard. Declaring themselves as witches that won't be swayed by other’s gazes nor judgement, it expresses finding ones own identity, self-resilience and confident attitude through a fancy and shining festival. With retro synthesizers, riffs, and danceable drum beats, the 1980s- style music is an earworm.
