Biography
Gafieira Miúda presents a gafieira orchestra in a small format compared to the first huge traditional samba de gafieira ensembles, such as Orquestra Tabajara. The band developed a particular style of samba de gafieira music fusing together elements from a number of genres.
After being brought together by the singer Camila Brasiliano in 2010, the definitive formation was settled in 2012 by Rodrigo Balduino (bass and arrangements), Ana Rossi (vocals), Àlvar Monfort (trumpet and arrangements), Alexis Ortega (trombone), Jefferson Otto (drums), Cláudio Ramos Rosa (percussion) and Ramiro Pinheiro (guitar) for creating a band which would be the pioneer of the samba de gafieira in Spain. The band toured Spain in 2012 within La Caixa Foundation program "Diversons". It's debut song "Trem das Onze" is the soundtrack of the short-film "Auguri" released in 2016, directed by Samuele Sbrighi.
The band recorded the debut album Gafieira Miúda in 2013, produced by Rodrigo Balduino, and released in 2016 by Temps Record / Discmedi.
