Gemma Mewse is a seasoned performer. She has crammed more into her youthful 18 years than most do in a lifetime. From Musical Theatre- to performing at the Royal Variety Performance- or performing at the Camden Crawl, her performance experience is evident when she hits a stage.
Since Oct 09 she has seen tons of gigs throughout the London area-debuting her hard hitting, socially aware pop/rock songs. Between then and now Gemma has written with various songwriters, and continued performing new material. Now in September 2010 Gemma's passion for her craft is clear for all as she celebrates the making of her debut album.
Teaming up with award winning Australian producer/songwriter Chris James Ryan In April 2010, they started to write what was to become Gemma's debut album. Together Miss Mewse and Chris James Ryan (with over 50 albums under his belt) have found a sound that allows Gemma to stand out from the mass production pop attitude that most of her contemporaries churn out.
This collaborating allowed Gemma to hone her songwriting abilities and every track is a lyrical 'tour de force' of reality! Gemma, Chris and her high energy band have recently returned from Canada, recording the album.
Gemma will continue to expand her fan base with a consistent level of uk dates and the album will be ready early 2011.The future is very bright for Miss Mewse……………….
