1. Gnu is a czech rock band based in Prague and formed in 1995. They play unique sounding music with a cohesive drive and memorable song structure and are known by its use of two bass guitars. http://myspace.com/gnurock
2. Gnu is a japanese prog/jazz unit formed by avant-garde performer and composer Okura Masahiko in 1997. The current lineup has 2 drummers (Itoken and Kumada), plus Okura on sax, clarinet and synth; Taneishi Yukiya on bass; Chiba Hiroki on violin, contra bass and electronics. http://gnu-web.com

5. Gnu was a heavy/prog metal band from the south of Brazil. Changed its name to K'harut.
