This packs some serious firepower! "Electronic Terrorism", "Lightning Struck My Dick" and "Wriggle Like A Fuckin' Eel" are some of the most convenient PE song titles to describe the specific high-voltage energy & feverish intensity of what's going on here (perhaps irrelevant since Mack's own titles do the job no less effectively), but the methodology strays far from that context, branches out in multiple directions and manages to be simultaneously reminiscent of Tesco-style heavy electronics, some harsher sonic electrocutions of Pan Sonic (for example, first disc of "Kesto"), late-era Scorn (certainly higher levels of abrasion here, but very similar appetite for heavyweight urban beats with mean breaks & "bombastic" production) and perhaps even some Autechre in their mood for contorted alientronics. It seems the artist has already summed up his own style by suggesting "Intelligent Dangerous Music" as a catchphrase leaving no wiseguy unconvinced with his humble persona's achievements...

...in dominating over those nerd-ass IDM bleeps & bloops with some real deal straight-outta-Chicago toughguy attitude, haha! Well, what did you expect? I guess ya can go cuddle wit ya ass-whipped Aphex Twin sugardaddy if ya ain't got the cojones to dig that dangerous shit. On a more serious note, there's no lack of substance to back up the loud statements: there's a distinctive feel of "approaching late-90s glitchy high-tech electronics with a mindset of modern PE - think of Propergol, Control, Am Not" which is heavily pronounced in almost every release. The results are exciting and cinematic: rich & turbulent sound makes me imagine all sorts of violent action scenes, culminations of Sam Peckinpah's movies, chop 'em up / cut 'em down Yakuza flicks, over-the-top martial arts curiosities like "Story of Ricky", post-apocalyptic savage bloodsports in the spirit of "Blood of Heroes", maybe one of the most relevant would be the infamous cocaine-fuelled mansion shootout scene from "Scarface".
