Goonies Never Say Die were an instrumental post-rock band from Blackpool UK, active from 2009 to 2015. They released two albums on Deep Elm Records - 'In A Forest Without Trees' and 'No Words To Voice Our Hopes and Fears'. A third album was shelved post production due to a general dissatisfaction with the sound. It was later released in it's unfinished form as 'Bright Lights Fading' under a member of the bands own label 'The Recording Industry Is Dead, Records'. The band line-up for the first two albums was Simon Morgan and BP on Guitar, Steve Trenell on Bass, Dan Kerr on Drums and Jimi MacPhie on PianoFor the third album the band was Paul Kayley and BP on Guitar, Michael Zubine on Bass, Dan Kerr on Drums and Jimi MacPhie on Piano. The band split amicably due to all wanting to do something different. around 2015, members of the band have since played together and released music in the bands Beneath The Watchful Eyes (Simon and BP), Dinosaurs Are Shit Dragons (BP and Dan Kerr) Oceans Over Alderaan (BP and Steve) and I Drink Therefore There's Darkness (BP and Dan Kerr). Individual members currently release music with the bands Those Fucking Snowflakes (BP) and Blanket (Simon). Every year one of them mentions getting back together but they are far too lazy.
