Biography

GooRoo started his musical career in the Atari and PC demoscene, creating music on a computer using software such as TCB Tracker, ScreamTracker and Impulse Tracker.

In 1994 GooRoo joined the largest free tracked music group, Kosmic Free Music Foundation. With over 40 musicians creating free tracks they were pioneers in digital music distribution. In addition to creating 2 albums and 7 demos for Kosmic, GooRoo also contributed various singles and worked on the EGG (Exceedingly Great Grooves) music disks, which were a collection of songs bundled with a custom graphical music player that reacted to the music being played.

GooRoo continued to develop his programming and musical skills and went on to create the WGT and PowerRender game development tools, as well as several popular Winamp visualizers (Rave, Dancing Can, Dance Floor, ToonAmp).

GooRoo released 2 albums from his days of tracking, called Code Break and Kick Music Central. In 2006/2007 he worked on a new album called Synthetic Dreams, a mix of electronica, triphop, rap, and dance genres.

In 2007 he created 8 mixes for Celldweller's Take It and Break It competition, with notable entries Own Little World - Transformed Triphop mix (Top 15), Frozen - Live in London, and Frozen - Zero Kelvin mix.
