Another rock band that watches too much MSNBC, evidenced by the mediocrity in their sound.

Also, the idea that liking or identifying with "American Idiot", a very dated post 9/11 song, makes you a political activist in any shape or form, or believing you are on the right side of history and what the fuck not, is incredibly pathetic.

How come we're saying "we're back"? A setlist like this just reveals that Green Day isn't fully backing their newer stuff. Essentially, they're playing it safe, going with the biggest hits to sell more tickets. No harm in it – I love both albums. But claiming "we're back" seems a bit of a stretch.

Well, I just noticed that 2024 marks the anniversaries of both "Dookie" (30 years) and "American Idiot" (20 years).

Both Green Day and Rage Against the Machine have consistently been mere poseurs. Remember, chaps: both RATM ( Epic Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music) and Green Day (Reprise Records, a part of the Warner Music Group) have been affiliated with major labels since 1991 and 1994, respectively. Simply appreciate their songs for what they're worth and refrain from delving too deeply. Ultimately, life is too brief to be vexed by the hypocrisy of millionaires. 🍺

Rob Cavallo should produce every Green Day album. They sound so damn good with him.

Two milestones for Green Day this year. The 20th anniversary of American Idiot and the 30th anniversary of Dookie. Which one is more important this year? I'd say American Idiot. 20 years is quite significant. 30 years, eh not so much. The 40th anniversary of Dookie will be me more significant. 50th anniversary of Dookie will be super significant.

The new single "The American Dream is Killing Me" sounds like if AI was asked to write a Green Day song.

FOAM is what made me finally give up on these guys (at least as Green Day - MM2020PII:WTYS was good), but Saviors might actually be okay?

this band is just people that listened to them in the 90's and can't find any other music so they listen to them forever, and then pass it down to their shithead kids.
