2. Greg Thomas is a singer-songwriter from Illinois, now based in Brooklyn. His debut EP, Atlantic/Pacific (8/17, self-released), is a snapshot of Greg’s musical restart in Brooklyn, where he would spend his morning commute on the platform of the Atlantic ave/Pacific st. station, writing lyrics to demos recorded the night before. Opening with the driving swell of “It’s Only Gone If You Look At It That Way”, Atlantic/Pacific highlights Greg’s unique vocals and guitar playing, drawing the listener into songs that jump between genres and highlight the wide range of influences that helped shape the record, from Wilco to Sigur Ros and John Mayer.
