Guy Edward Pearce (born 5 October 1967) is an English-born Australian actor and musician known for his portrayal of anterograde amnesia victim Leonard Shelby in Christopher Nolan's Memento, his performance as Lieutenant Ed Exley in the film L.A. Confidential, his depiction of a drag queen in the cult movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and for his role as Mike Young in the popular Australian television series Neighbours.
Next to acting, Guy Pearce has had a life long passion for music. In addition to singing and playing the guitar, saxophone, organ and piano, he has written numerous songs, including several that were featured in the movie Hunting (1991). He also performs all the songs in the movie A Slipping Down Life, where he plays a rock musician, stuck in a small town.
