Biography
Hallock Hill is the musical nom de plume of Tom Lecky, a New York City-based guitarist. Using a variety of electric, acoustic and lap steel guitars, the nine tracks on Hallock Hill's debut 'The Union' (Hundred Acre Recordings) explored the process of memory. The album builds layer upon layer of interwoven improvised guitar to form pieces of quiet introspection. 'There He Unforeseen,' Hallock Hill's second release of 2011, is a suite of pieces that throughout are fragmented, gnarled and twisted into what The Wire called "a strange and fecund palette of sound." In August 2012, MIE Music released the 2xLP The Union | A Hem of Evening, with accomopanying book. http://www.hallockhill.com
