Biography

Haydon Spenceley is a from Northampton, UK. Where he is a at St Giles Church. His albums are available to download from Bandcamp.

In July 2011 he recorded his new album in Nashville, Tennessee, with his new band Ghostree. This album was released on the 6th of February 2012, and can be downloaded from Bandcamp. Their blog follows their album and tour.

Haydon started writing and touring the album Songs for the Dying in 2003.

For his next project, he formed FreeSlave in 2006. As a four-piece band, FreeSlave enjoyed a good level of success including being featured on Radio One, in various UK and US national music press, and touring all over the UK and Ireland, including playing to thousands in Trafalgar Square, twice. FreeSlave was disbanded in 2007, but they all remain friends.

He released his first solo album Circles in 2009. Haydon provides the Keyboard and Vocals on his studio albums; and is helped by "a whole heap of different people" when playing live or recording, including some members of FreeSlave. He is signed with indie label Knuci Records and released his second solo album Heart Strings in 2010.

At the end of 2010 he was invited to perform on T4's programme, Battlefront.

His influences include: Aqualung, Telefon Tel Aviv, Stateless, Keith Green, Mutemath, Clayhill, Paper Route, Portishead, Son Lux, Ascend the Hill, So Long Forgotten and (though he may not personally agree!) Duran Duran and Depeche Mode.
