Having formed at the Bristol Institute of Modern Music in 2009, Heaven Asunder have become a dominant presence within the city’s thriving metal scene, due to their explosive live shows and ruthless determination to make their name synonymous with contemporary metal.

After the success of 2011’s Dead Man’s Waltz E.P, Heaven Asunder have pushed themselves to deliver a stunning album that encapsulates the joys of classic metal with the sheer aggression of modern hardcore. Among the Damned is as brutal and rage fuelled as it is melodic and heartfelt; it is a warcry for the underdog and an anthem of perseverance, executed with technical precision, finesse and raw emotion. With frantic guitars that hail to the kings of old, blistering drum-work and savage vocals, this album will grab listeners, put a knife to their throat and make them take notice.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Fearless Vampire Killers, When We Were Wolves, Odessa, Shining (Nor), The Smoking Hearts, The Dead Lay Waiting, Crown the Empire, Issues and an upcoming show with 36 Crazyfists, Heaven Asunder are quickly becoming one of the UK’s most notable unsigned acts. The band will be taking Among the Damned on a nationwide tour early in the new year. The phenomenal support of the album’s Pledge campaign sees an unrelenting expansion of Heaven Asunder’s fanbase, both closer to home and overseas.

Among the Damned is a testament to intent and an exemplification of the band themselves; they don’t do things by the half measure. The album is set for release on January 6th via iTunes, Bandcamp and the bands’ Big Cartel online store. Heaven Asunder will be performing Among the Damned in its entirety at a hometown launch show on Nov 28th (Bristol, Exchange).
