RISHERRISHER
Herbert was in his forties when he was able to begin using the tape recorder. Remember that the Germans ahd magnetic tape as a secret weapon in WWII. He was a professor at Cologne University and in 1945 was one of the first staff of Cologne Radio administrated by the British occupation forces. Like many of the early tape recorder artists, his access to electronic equipment at radio stations allowed him to develop a new music language that he and others pioneered. It didn't take long for Hollywood to catch on. But, he was writing atonal music in 1924 before he was 30. Electronic music didn't begin with Moog in the 60s; he just made it more accessible. Listen to Pierre Schaeffer from France for more early taped electronic music composition.

Profound. Rather reminiscent of Bebe and Louis Barron. I think I prefer this. Sterling.
