Totally different impression than okvltvs.. "Death Ordinance" sounds for me (as a new in Heresiarch music, haven't heard demo and EP) as very good piece of black/death. Diversity in this genre, especially within one record, is rare thing, but even with this in mind I think this full-length is pretty diversified. And the atmosphere and heaviness kills.

With great disappointment I'd say that "Death Ordinance" is not so good as I expected. It sounds heavy and dark as hell, also very atmospheric, but at the same time is monotonous, unoriginal and boring. I like their demo & EPs much more. Maybe I'm not in the right mood for it or something, but I see a tendency the full length albums of these black/death bands to be weaker than their demos & EPs.

From their Facebook page... HERESIARCH has been exhumed with a new lineup and new recordings pending. The Wælwulf 7" EP via Ironbonehead will be recorded July and will feature all new material. Hammer of Intransigence will be released shortly on cassette via Vault of Dried Bones. A remastered Obsecrating the Global Holocaust will be released on LP later this year. A tour of the East Coast of Australia is being organised for later this year, dates to be announced. Writing has begun for the debut album. Further updates to follow.

"you know this contains members of Dio right? " ...that's the joke. You're not usually this dense Jim.
