New album is top notch. After NHT, my interest in Hex's output since dwindled from mild curiosity to a less than hopeful waiting for a return of their haunting folk compositions. Old Tree didn't quite do it for me, but was indeed a step in the right direction. My hopes were low after hearing the single they released, but nearly ten listens later and I'm loving Kindred more and more. An album of redemption and evolution all the same, merging their two styles of folk and psych into something that is both a culmination and altogether its own sound. REALLY hoping Fire in the Mountains doesn't get cancelled, I missed my chance to see them at Stella Natura years ago, I'm sure their live ensemble does their sonic conjuring justice.

I usually find myself singing a random tune from these guys; Old Tree, Mirror Boy, Son of the Sky or something else. This alone proves their talent and shows the beautiful magic in their work.

After a few spins I'd say I like the new album better as a whole than "When we are death". It lacks the eeriness of Dawnbearer, but brings its own, calmer atmosphere. It gives off the same vibe as In Gowan Ring albums in my opinion.

Despite most fans liking No Holier Temple and Dawnbearer more, When We Are Death is probably the best album I heard this year. To each it's own I guess.

Is there anyone who has the unfurled casette in mp3? Most Hexvessel releases are already notoriously hard to find in cd format, let alone this limited edition casette.

Totally agreed. There was nothing quite like their first two albums, whilst there is plenty of psychedelic rock fish in the sea.

Kvohst LOVES to abruptly change the style of his bands or even the name of the bands themselves. But he always comes back with something amazing

I love the diversity in this band. "Cosmic Truth" and "Sacred Marriage" are probably my favourite songs... Both are incredibly beautiful and so heathenish in their core. Also they bring lovely memories to me.

No Holier Temple is clearly the superior album. Hope they revisit that sound again...
