Biography
“Hola….Hi” is a greeting you’ll sometimes hear in bilingual Miami in situations where the common language is unclear. A statement and a question, your response reveals your preferred tongue and provides a framework for the rest of the conversation.
Comprised of husband and wife tandem Angelina de los Rosarios and Paul Curtis, Hola Hi formed in the sun and sand of South Florida in 2009. Angelina, the vocalist and bassist is a native of the Dominican Republic; while Paul, the guitarist, hails from the musical melting pot of New Orleans.
Working with Grammy winning producer AT Molina , Hola Hi brought their original songs to life. The result is a sound that is defied and defined by their combined pasts and futures; songs of hope, love, and loss influenced by common musical loves Stevie Wonder, Juan Luis Guerra, The Clash, and Arcade Fire.
Hola Hi is currently touring in anticipation of their debut release entitled ‘Domino’, due out in February of 2011. The 10 song EP will be released independently on Stella Bella records and will available for purchase and download from iTunes, CD Baby, and Amazon.
