Horn of Valere is a fantasy-inspired black metal band formed in 2003 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA under the name Basiliskk.
The former vocalist / bassist, Battle Tyrant, plays in various other side projects with Horn of Valere members.
The Horn of Valere is a legendary object in fantasy author Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series. The Horn is an artifact used to call back dead heroes from the grave to fight in the Last Battle.
