A mostly naked Phil Buckman of Flagstaff, Ariz., a Zoom RhythmTrak 234 and the song "Hey, Hot Bitches (Gimme Some Pussy)" gave birth to what was perhaps the most amazing one-man live acts in the history of music.
A roadie in 2002 for punk act Stab City Slit Wrists (whose vocalist came up with the name), IHYWYP came about when the band needed an opening act in Portland, Ore. His fame peaked around 2003 and 2004, as his demos - five in all before dropping the show - gained fame on the Internet, partially through his touring with videogame cover superband The Minibosses and a nod in the Village Voice.
Phil left IHYWYP behind in 2005 after releasing his fifth demo.
