While I do prefer their old stuff, I think saying that their latest music is worse is unfair. It's a new sound they are experimenting with and it brings me joy that they are getting more and more comfortable with new sounds. TANGK is definitely an improvement over CRAWLER.

These guys are incredibly photogenic - Idles's photo gallery might be just the best on last.fm

yeah, songs against war and fascism but don't make a statement about what's happening in Gaza, promoters and media don't like that

I understand their change in making music since Crawler, but I really miss the fury and kick-ass punk of their first records

I don't know if I get that at all. I can sympathize with some complaints about the pacing this time around, maybe... but if anything I would say that Ultra Mono is where the band were riding their own coattails the most. (Especially on the success of Joy.) Crawler stepped things up big-time. Love it or hate it, it was a huge curveball to the sound they established on their first 3 records. I think TANGK continues to propel that style of Crawler into a further direction – for better or worse, depending on who you ask.

Not a huge fan of the album musically tbh but I still love IDLES, their energy and the message they send. Gift Horse, Roy, Dancer, Grace, Jungle and Monolith are bangers. 6.5-7/10 album from an 11/10 band

I love their albums, especially Joy and Crawler and UM has some decent tracks too, however my concern is that Dancer will be the vibe of the whole of Tangk. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but it doesn't have much of their rawness and emotion on show. I know due to their previous albums songs can sound vastly different even on the same LP, so I'm still excited for it, but does anyone else feel the same way?

FEBRUARY IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SHORT MONTH, WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG FOR TANGK TO RELEASE

i love the polished and compressed quality of their albums mixing, even i also love noisy barely mixed punk records

Unfortunately, their choruses in general tend to suck. It's the same bare-bones kind of chant every time

the "CAWNCRETE TO LEATHAAAAA" kicks ass, but I wish there was variations on it throughout the choruses. I get where y'all are coming from.

This was some pretty good stuff for the most part, but - and I mean no offense when I say this - I cringed so hard when the guy said "Ten points to Gryffindor" over and over on "Gram Rock."
