don't know if anyone else had reads the lyrics to the song but you would never in a million years guess how bleak it is from the chirpy music. it's basically a story of this couple in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where everyone else is dead. they have escaped the chaos by climbing a mountain and now just spend their days chucking corpses into a mass grave down the side of a cliff and watching them getting eaten by vultures. it's also strongly implied that the couple are killing a lot of the people themselves. the little whistle she does indicates the sound of two new corpses falling down and joining the pile at the bottom. it's an amazing song but the music and lyrics are radically different to one another.

fr like I’ve only translated two Japanese songs. This, and Baby Blue by Fishmans. This is about a post-apocalypse, and Baby Blue is about somebody’s lover dying.
