In Blackest Velvet are a Melodic Death Metal band from Germany who formed in 1998. They are named after part of the chorus of 'Black Velvet' by the band Night In Gales. Their first demo '1998 Demo CD' was followed by the debut album 'Edenflow' in 2001 (on which Night In Gales guitarist Jens Basten plays the lead on 'The Delightful Temptress and Markus Stock from Empyrium delivers guest vocals). Another demo entitled '3 Song Demo'ntrackstration' was released in 2004 followed by an EP entitled 'Insuisight' in 2005.
