Biography

In Flight Program are a rock band from Derby, United Kingdom. They formed in February 2003 from the ashes of the band Rusk. The original lineup consisted of Jamie Thrasivoulou (vocals), Rob Poulter (drums), James Fisher (bass) and Andy Clarke (guitar).

Under this lineup, over the following three years, the band released a 6 track mini-album, Reference Points Of No Return (2006, Signature Tune) as well as appearing on various compilations including a tribute to their hometown heroes Cable and all three of the Stressed volumes.

In October 2006, the band asked Greg Rawson to join on drums. This allowed Rob to move over to guitar and, for the first time since they formed, the band had the lineup they had wanted from the very start. As this five-piece, they went on to release a split 7" single with Days Ago (2007, Signature Tune) the following summer.

Over the course of 2007 the band concentrated on writing new material with a view to releasing a their first full length album. They entered the studio in March 2008 and began what would turn out to be a very long process of false starts, change of hearts, financial woes and personal turmoil. As a result of this, founding member Andy decided to leave the band in late 2008. Although quite a blow to band, they pressed on with the recording, determined as ever.

After the departure of Andy, long time friend of the band, Darren Burns helped fill the void by playing live guitar at a few shows.

Now, in April 2009, the band are very close to finishing the album and aim to have it released before the end of the year.

Their official website can be found at www.inflightprogram.com.

They also have profiles on MySpace, Facebook and NumberOneMusic.
