Drum and Bass Producer, DJ. Influx UK AKA Gavin Price was born in 1970 in Canning Town, East London, and has been creating music since the age of 9, when he first got his hands on his parent's music system and began making edits of records onto cassette tapes using the tape pause button. At 11, he used to watch his dad playing guitar in a band, and learnt the bass and guitar by watching. Around 1985, when he was 15, the early wave of hip-hop came to the UK from the USA, and young Influx found himself scratching and mixing on a pair of school-disco turntables set up in his bedroom. This love of vinyl lead to him amassing a huge record collection, encompassing 70's funk, jazz + soul, and many of the original presses of Chicago House and Detroit Techno. As the rave scene in London and the UK exploded between 1987-89, Influx was right there, going to many of the illegal warehouse parties such as Biology and Energy. He remembers Prodigy's first live 'big' performance at Raindance in Jenkins Lane. Gavin's first music production was played on the now-defunked Radio London in 1987 by none other than Dave Pearce, who held the weekly hip-hop show. A few years later and Gavin joined hip-hop group 'Stickya', who were supported by Tim Westwood with plays on the BBC Radio 1 Rap Show.

Fast forward to 1998, and Gavin had not been making music for a few years. He moved to Miami and there struck up a partnership with the co-founder of Beatcamp, Marco Fabian. There the Beatcamp crew ran the weekly Drum and Bass night for over 6 years, bringing in DnB talent from all over the world to the beaches of Miami. It was here that he met DJ SS of Formation Records, who took an interest in Gavin and Marco's early productions, and took them onboard. DJ SS proved to have good vision, as in 2002 Influx Datum (Gavin + Marco) produced one of the years' biggest Drum and Bass tracks, 'Back For More', which hit the national UK charts and found itself onto many 'best of' compilations of the year. As well as a string of singles, Influx Datum produced remixes for Hospital Records, Universal Records (for MJ Cole) and Warners (for J-Walk). During the time of the Influx Datum partnership, Gavin was also producing solo material, so when he moved back to London in 2003, he began releasing this material under the solo name of 'Influx UK'. These tracks formed the seeds of his debut LP entitled '2 Million And Rising', which was highly acclaimed by the media and noted by Time Out magazine as 'one of the best DnB albums ever'. In support of the album, Influx UK and DJ SS took the World of Drum and Bass tour around the globe, taking in Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, USA, Canada, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, etc.
