Absolutely. And Blaze's debut album is better than any of the reunion stuff. :D

I don't like the apparition. It looks like Bruce Dickinson came out of a trash can. Then Bruce Dickinson started talking to some guy.

Wasting love. I should have made love to Maggie when I was a teen. I need to go on dates with Tiffany or Carmen.

Fear of the dark got me into maiden. In the 80s I would watch Somewhere in time and 7th on tv.

This album's kinda grown on me over the years. It's not amazing or anything, but it's not nearly as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

Half of the album is great I think, but there's too much filler. They should have cut it down to 8 songs instead of 12.

It's a cool & solid album, but I'm surprised that No Prayer for the Dying is not more popular than this one.

The negative climax of Dickinson's husky voice. After leaving Maiden, he again started singing a lot more melodic. Even the vocal performance on BNW and AMOLAD are much more pleasant to hear for me than on FOTD.

For a person who has GBK in their playlist that's a pretty stupid and foolish thing to say ;)

Brilliant album, childhood's end is the only song I'm not particularly fond of

I used to hate this album. A few weeks ago, without knowing why, I listened to the whole album again and I started to love it VERY MUCH! This also happened on different occasions with Dance of Death, No Prayer and The X Factor. I love this change of feeling that Maiden's records cause me over the years.

One of the most overrated Maiden's albums. Mostly because people start listening Maiden with Fear of the Dark, then find the album etc. Overrated doesn't mean bad, it certainly isn't bad. But it lacks famous Maiden's harmonies on some songs. "Apparition" and "Weekend Warrior" aren't very catchy at all, probably one of the worst Maiden songs ever. By the way, vocals aren't very good, to my mind. Too much "husky voice" from Bruce. He sang much better on his solo project (check something from Balls to Picasso... like Gods of War and you'll see the difference), but generally I think that it's the worst period for Bruce and his abilities, both composer's and vocal. All in all, 1982-1988>2000-2015>1995-1998>1980-1981=1990-1992. But it's anyway 8/10.

Seriously... the Debut and Killers is way better than everything between 1990 and 1999 from maiden. or are you just kidding? The period 1990 to 1992 was clearly why Dickinson left Maiden, he just didn't feel like to make "Metal". Bayley tried his best but the footsteps where to big. But imo The X Factor is much more exciting then NPFTD and FOTD.

Well, perhaps you're right about Killers/Iron Maiden. But in general, you seem to agree with me: I mentioned above, that 1990-1992 is one of the worst periods in Maiden's history and that even Blaze's era way better. And yeah, it was right for Bruce to leave the band. In 1992 they couldn't give each other anything, their cooperation ended at the right time. (remember all accusations like " Dickinson sounded like shit " (c) Steve?)

Without From Here to Eternity, Chains of Misery, The Apparition and Weekend Warrior I'd like this a lot more.
