During the summer of 2016, his independently released single "To California" reached the #1 spot on Spotify's global viral charts. As a result, the song was re-released via Spinnin' Records, where it gained even more exposure. J Lisk has continued to release unique tracks independently such as "Where Is Your Love" and "Always" that have caught the attention of many listeners across various platforms.
