All My Heroes Are Cornballs, released September 13, 2019, is JPEGMAFIA’s third studio album, following up his critically-acclaimed 2018 sophomore album, Veteran.

Peggy released the album’s title and release date on August 28, 2019 through an Instagram post featuring clips of all of those who have listened to bits of the record.

The first single from the album, “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot,” was released on August 13, 2019, along with an accompanying music video.

The second single from the record, “Beta Male Strategies,” was released on September 10th, 2019.

Peggy showed this project to multiple artists before its release, with Injury Reserve and producer Kenny Beats being some of them. On August 18, 2019, Peggy released a YouTube video showing him playing some of the project to Kenny, showing him the record’s debut single and previewing a remix of a freestyle the two made on Kenny’s YouTube show The Cave. In this video, Peggy also revealed a bit about the creation of the track list for this record. When Kenny asked about how many tracks he made for the record, Peggy said:

I made 93 songs for this piece of shit right quick… I meant to make 89, but I accidentally made four more… because that’s my birth year and just an arbitrary number.

Peggy then released a video on August 25, 2019 of him previewing portions of the record to producer DJ Dahi, teasing a cover that may appear on the record and a track tentatively called “PTSD.”

Then, in an Instagram post releasing the record’s release date and title on August 28th, 2019, Peggy showed that past collaborators Flume and Channel Tres, all listened to the record in advance as well.

Peggy released a fourth video of him previewing the record to Jeff Tweedy and comedian Hannibal Buress on September 1st, 2019, previewing an untitled “Track 3”, now known to be “Beta Male Strategies.”

The album’s track listing and cover art were revealed when the record was put up for pre-order on September 6th, 2019, seven days before its release.

On September 8th, 2019, JPEGMAFIA released a video of him previewing the record James Blake, who was previously shown in the album’s teaser video, continuing showing previews of “Beta Male Strategies.”
