Biography
JUUK is a Latvian folk rock band from Rīga, Latvia, formed in 2018. They draw influence from all manners of folk, rock, and country to create melodic original compositions with a high emphasis on lyrics and clever wordplay.
Current members:
Oskars Jansons - guitars, banjo, vocals;
Ričards Dauksts (Podruga, Pretplūsma, Ingus Baušķenieks un Draugi) - guitars;
Edgars Šubrovskis - bass, guitars, vocals;
Sniedze Prauliņa (Amorālā Psihoze) - flute, vocals;
Rasa Pole - violin, backing vocals;
Nick Moss Rogers - drums.
Former members:
Dina Skreitule - violin, backing vocals;
Raitis Viļumovs (Mortons) - drums;
Rinalds Maksimovs (DJ Krankenwagen, Elle, Pirmais Kurss) - drums;
Kalvis Sležis-Zaļkalns (The Bad Tones) - drums.
