Biography
Jackie Scott is an independent electro-pop recording artist and songwriter from New York City, NY, USA. “I just want to make fun music that people can dance and sing along to,” Jackie says. “My songs are inspired by my friends, our crazy nights out together and, of course, love.” But make no mistake. Her music is not your typical bubblegum pop and her variety of vamp is beyond the stereotypical LA Daddy’s girl turned pop singer. Jackie’s sly intellect, creative vision and innate confidence make her a standout.
Developing her natural vocal talent and exploring her songwriting ability from an early age, Jackie was enrolled in singing and songwriting lessons with various teachers and, at 16 years old, she recorded her first demo CD. She says, “That experience got me hooked.”
Starting in 2010 and continuing to 2011, Jackie has written, recorded and released her debut singles, “Superstars”, “Love Sick” and “Train Wreck”. An album will follow later this year. She is also performing regularly at open mics / showcases in New York City and the surrounding area.
