"Redneck Friend" is a song written and performed by American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne, released as the first single from his 1973 album, For Everyman, and notable for its double entendre lyrics and guest appearances by Glenn Frey (on vocal harmony) and Elton John (on piano), as well as the first appearance of David Lindley (on slide guitar) on a Jackson Browne single. The song reached #85 on US Billboard's Hot 100 chart, spending 10 weeks on that chart after debuting at #99 on September 29, 1973.

It is said that "Redneck Friend" is his penis (really; lines like "the damage would do you good" kind of make that more obvious). The keyboard player listed as "Rockaday Johnny" on "Redneck Friend" is really Elton John!
