Biography
James Carson is a pianist currently living in New York City. A feature documentary, Cabin Music, is currently in production about his life and music.
In 2004, while studying at the New England Conservatory, James experienced a life altering epiphany which led him to spend two years backpacking overland from Spain to Japan, and then spend five years designing building and practicing in a strawbale cabin in Northern Alberta. His goal was to create a new genre of music which sounded like all of the leaves on a tree shimmering in the wind.
He presently performs solo concerts and has a collaboration with Drummer Lyndon Rochelle (Esperanza Spalding). His music will be released in conjunction with the feature film.
