James Ford is an English record producer and songwriter born in Leek, Staffordshire, United Kingdom, known for being a band member of Simian Mobile Disco and Last Shadow Puppets as well as his production work with artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Florence and the Machine, Depeche Mode, Haim, Gorillaz, Klaxons, Jessie Ware, Kylie Minogue and the Pet Shop Boys.
Using his full name, James Ellis Ford as his moniker, 2023 saw Ford's long overdue début under his own name with an album entitled The Hum on Warp Records, preceded by the single 'I Never Wanted Anything'.
