After reading this quote, one would find it hard to believe how effortlessly the expression rose from this articulate 17-year old. Born in Thailand, Bangkok this bilingual singer/songwriter, Jamie Charoen, was discovered on Facebook after posting a cover video of Justin Bieber’s “One Time,” for her friends and family. “I was found on YouTube, Facebook… yes- but that story is Justin’s; I want to find mine. I don’t want the reason why a little girl looks up to me to be because she connects my story to a thousand other singers who were found on YouTube. I want that little girl to look up to me because of the story behind the music, the story of how I got to be where I am today with the belief of those who supported me from day one. I want it to be everyone’s story that this– the music, isn’t just about me, but about the amazing team I have behind me– and my Jamminators.” Says Jamie, confidently.
Presently working on her debut EP, Jamie has crafted quite the notable signature in her Pop/R&B genre.
