"Throb" is a song by American singer Janet Jackson from her fifth studio album, janet. (1993). Released as the albums' sixth single on June 18, 1994, the track is the second B-side to "Any Time, Any Place", the album's fifth single. In the United States, the single's release was restricted to radio stations. "Throb" peaked at number two on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. The remixes of "Throb", commissioned by David Morales, contributed to the song's club success.

Throughout the song, Jackson describes the constant "pounding" from a sexual partner while moaning sexually, which emphasizes she is having an orgasm while having sex through the song; this can be proven in her performance of "Throb" on Saturday Night Live on May 14, 1994, where Jackson puts her hands towards her genitals pretending to stimulate herself while moaning. It was also performed on Jackson's janet. Tour, The Velvet Rope Tour, Unbreakable Tour, State of the World Tour and on Jackson’s Las Vegas residency Metamorphosis. The song was also used as an interlude on the Number Ones: Up Close and Personal tour. An exclusive remix of "Throb", the Morales Badyard Mix, appears on Jackson's 1995 remix compilation janet. Remixed.

"Throb" was released as a commercial single in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom but failed to chart there. In the United States, the song was not released commercially. However, it was sent to mainstream radios and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay, peaking at number 66.
